Dr. Hitesh R Sharma has done his M.S. in Ophthalmology from the Institute of Medical Sciences (I.M.S.) at Banaras Hindu University (B.H.U.), Varanasi. He has done his fellowship in Medical Retina and Uvea from the prestigious SankaraNethralaya, Chennai under the guidance of world-renowned Uvea specialists like Prof. Jyotirmay Biswas. He has some good publications to his credit and has written many chapters in national and international Ophthalmology textbooks. He has presented various papers and posters at various conferences.

His clinical practice includes various uveitic conditions like anterior, intermediate, posterior uveitis, panuveitis, ocular tuberculosis, retinal vasculitis/eale’s disease, retinitis, sarcoidosis, VKH, ocular conditions related to juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA), scleritis/episcleritis and ocular conditions related to HIV/AIDS. He has a special interest in ocular tuberculosis and Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease. He is an excellent cataract surgeon and has special interest and expertise in managing uveitic cataracts. Currently, Dr. Hitesh Sharma is working as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at D Y Patil Healthcare.
